NEIGHBOURHOOD BASIC CONDITIONS STATEMENT
The Neighbourhood Planning (Referendums) Regulations 2012 (as amended)
This statement is published as required by Regulation 4 confirming that Tewkesbury Borough Council, as the relevant Local Planning Authority, are satisfied that The Leigh Neighbourhood Development Plan meets the basic conditions and complies with the provision made by or under sections 38A of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004.

“I confirm that following submission of the draft Neighbourhood Development Plan for The Leigh Neighbourhood Area to the Council on 19th July 2021 the qualifying body were notified that the proposal had been properly submitted, as required under Paragraph 6(4)(a) of Schedule 4B of the
Town and Country Planning Act 1990.
The Borough Council is satisfied that the statutory requirements have been met and that:
a) The Leigh Parish Council is a qualifying body which is authorised to act;
b) the proposal complied with the Section 61f relating to Neighbourhood Areas;
c) the appropriate documents were submitted with the proposal; and
d) the requirements of the regulations have been met.”
The decision to accept all of the modifications recommended by the Independent Examiner and progress to referendum was made by Tewkesbury Borough Council at an Executive Committee meeting on 1st June 2022.
A Referendum relating to the adoption of The Leigh Neighbourhood Plan will be held on Thursday
28th July 2022. Notice of Referendum is published in the Information Statement.
