Referendum on the adoption of The Leigh
Neighbourhood Plan
Thursday 28 July 2022
1. A Neighbourhood Planning Referendum will be held on Thursday, 28 July 2022 to decide on
the question below:
Do you want Tewkesbury Borough Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for The Leigh
to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?
2. Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the Council
Offices, Gloucester Road, Tewkesbury, Glos, GL20 5TT by 12midnight on Tuesday 12 July
2022. Applications can be made online: www.gov.uk/register-to-vote
3. Applications for postal votes or written instructions to change or cancel an existing postal or
proxy voting arrangement must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the Council Offices,
Gloucester Road, Tewkesbury, Glos, GL20 5TT by 5pm on Wednesday 13 July 2022.
4. Applications to vote by proxy at this referendum must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at
the Council Offices, Gloucester Road, Tewkesbury, Glos, GL20 5TT by 5pm on Wednesday 20
July 2022.
5. Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this referendum on the grounds of physical
incapacity or for work reasons must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the Council
Offices, Gloucester Road, Tewkesbury, Glos, GL20 5TT by 5pm on Thursday 28 July 2022.
The physical incapacity must have occurred after 5pm on Wednesday 20 July 2022. To apply
on the grounds of work, the person must have become aware that they cannot go to the Polling
Station in person after 5pm on Wednesday 20 July 2022
