The Leigh
on Thursday 28 July 2022
I, Linda O’Brien, being the Deputy Counting Officer at the above Referendum, do hereby
give notice that the number of votes recorded at the said Referendum is as follows:

Do you want Tewkesbury Borough Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for The
Leigh to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?

Number cast in favour of a Yes 60 90.9%
Number cast in favour of a No 6 9.1%

Electorate: 271 Ballot Papers Issued: 66

The total number of votes recorded represented 24.35% of the registered electors.
And I do hereby declare that the result of the Referendum for The Leigh neighbourhood
area is as follows:
More than half of those voting have voted in favour of Tewkesbury Borough Council using
the Neighbourhood Plan for The Leigh to help it decide planning applications in the
neighbourhood area.

Next Steps

The Neighbourhood Plan will now go to Full Council to be formally ‘made’ (adopted as policy). The next opportunity will be on the 27th September 2022 and I will therefore be preparing a report for circulation to Tewkesbury Borough Councillors at the beginning of September.
