Tewkesbury Borough Council
Election of a County Councillor for the Electoral Division listed below
Electoral Division: Highnam
Number of County Councillors to be elected: One
1. Nomination papers must be delivered to the Deputy Returning Officer, Council Offices, Gloucester Road, Tewkesbury, Glos, GL20 5TT on any day after the date of this notice, on Monday to Thursday 9am to 5pm and Friday 9am to 4pm (excluding weekends and bank holidays) but no later than 4pm on Tuesday 4 April 2023.
2. Nomination papers may be obtained from the offices of the Deputy Returning Officer, Council Offices, Gloucester Road, Tewkesbury, Glos, GL20 5TT during the times stated above.
3. If the election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday 4 May 2023.
4. Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the Council Offices, Gloucester Road, Tewkesbury, Glos, GL20 5TT by 12 midnight on Monday 17 April 2023. Applications can be made online: www.gov.uk/register-tovote
5. Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes (including postal proxy) must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the Council Offices, Gloucester Road, Tewkesbury, Glos, GL20 5TT by 5pm on Tuesday 18 April 2023.
6. Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate or an Anonymous Elector’s Document valid for this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Tuesday 25 April 2023. Applications can be made online: www.gov.uk/apply-forphoto-id-voter-authority-certificate
7. New applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the Council Offices, Gloucester Road, Tewkesbury, Glos, GL20 5TT by 5pm on Tuesday 25 April 2023.
7. Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election on the grounds of either physical incapacity or for work/service reasons must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the Council Offices, Gloucester Road, Tewkesbury, Glos, GL20 5TT by 5pm on Thursday 4 May 2023. The physical incapacity must have occurred after 5pm on Tuesday 25 April 2023. To apply on the grounds of work/service the person must have become aware that they cannot go the Polling Station in person after 5pm on Tuesday 25 April 2023.
