Temporary traffic lights at Coombe Hill appeared on the evening of Monday 27th March and are connected to the works for the Coombe Hill Junction Improvements –
GCC/Contractors will be completing Radar Surveys at the A38/A4019 Coombe Hill Junction through their highways team maintenance contractor Ringway and Sunhill Surveys; which will inform the final stages of design for the scheme.
The surveys are being completed over 5 nights to minimise the disruption to members of the public travelling during peak times at this key junction as it will require appropriate traffic management across the junction.
Outside of the traffic management set up, they anticipate noise and disturbance will be kept to a minimum for residents, due to the nature of the surveys.
GCC say that they have letter dropped residents and businesses in surrounding area to communicate on this issue and they will continue to monitor the works this week for any reports from residents on disruption at the site, so they can deal with appropriately.
